i would actually have him at this level, but at 34 i would want a loan until summer and see how it performs.

So we are now signing Roberts, Heskey, Sharp and Rhodes.

I would be a tad worried if I was Hunt, ALF, Church or Manset.

For what it is worth I think we will sign ONE striker - probably Roberts or Heskey for their experience - but hope I am wrong of course.

Don't forget Cywka.

I'm telling you, Warnock's got wind of this and injected his DNA into McDermott who's now just going to field an entire team of strikers.

Cwzxyvka is more of an ATM ... Clough only played him as a striker because they had so many strikers out injured.

Spirit of Elm Park Jesus Christ! (to be said like the guy on the Benton vid.)

the funniest youtube clip i've ever seen.

as per the above, the derby lad is more of an attacking midfielder who can play as a striker, but he is better suited in the sigurdsson role.

"Heskey has always been a trier, however, and down in the Championship he would be expected to flourish. Probably not in the goals department...."

...a trifle harsh

TBM I've just heard from a very reliable source that Emile Heskey is on his way to Reading for £3m which will see Lita go the other way.

My dads been away with my mum on a foreign holiday where they have no access to the Internet or newspapers. When i texted him to tell him that Madejski had been bought out by a Russian billionaire he didn't believe me and it took a good few messages to convince him that I wasn't on a wind up. My mum has texted me since to tell me that he had been in an especially good mood ever since I told him and was excited at the prospect of it all.

If he comes home and we've bought Emile Heskey he will probably cry. He absolutely f*cking hates Heskey and has described him as one of the worst players to ever wear the England shirt. Personally, I think he could do a job, I hope we get him and I'm looking forward to breaking the news to my old man if we do.
