Can't see anyone going for Kebe? Reckon he may be the only realistic sale. Think we'll hold onto him and he'll do one for a free in the Summer to some obscure French team.

Still think we could do with a classy goal scoring striker/attacking player (of course all teams would want). Can you imagine if we held on to Long for this season. Working on averages you'd think he'd have at least a dozen goals and we'd be top 2 at the moment.

Gylfi on loan would be immense but wouldn't happen?

I strongly suspect there will be no players whatsoever either leaving or coming in.
No need to thank me for my contribution.

Can't see anyone coming in (maybe a loanee) and would be surprised if anyone was coveting any of our players.

Only possibility is Kebe, if someone offered £200K +, again, i'd be surprised.

How can you say firstly no one will go in for Kebe, and he is likely to be sold???
I predict one or two coming in and out. Think were 1 or 2 players from a pretty decent squad tbh

To be honest the only players we're likely to lose are Howard and Gunnarsson and perhaps some youngsters on loan somewhere. Don't see anyone showing any interest in Church, Federici or Kebe. Biggest worry though could be McCarthy.

Can't see anyone coming into the squad despite the fact we need a central defender, an attacking midfielder and still could do with another striker.

Have we ever had a January transfer window with no movement in either direction? I'd love to know why some people see this as the most likely outcome :|

Fair point, it was late NYE and i'd had a few!
What I meant was the Kebe saga, judging on his performances this season I can't see anyone coming in for him. We'll see, with us and him - it almost is a bit better the devil you know??

Howard is the only one I can see leaving. Offers will come in for Kebe, a player of his quality coming to the end of a contract is bound to attract attention, but it would have to be a serious offer for us to accept, I certainly can't see Hammond letting him go for peanuts.

Possibly one or two squad players brought in, nothing special, the usual league 1/2 players which need work but have great potential.

I just hope the boat isn't rocked too much with players going in either direction. We are where we are due to the togetherness and work ethic of the current squad. Keep the lads we've got together and we are on to a good thing here.

Obviously no idea if there is any truth in it, but West ham apparently maybe interested in Kebe for around 3 million! Would defiantly take that if we could use it to get a proven goal scoring striker.

Because they're really going to spend 3m on him when they already have very good wingers and he's months away from signing on for free

Why would West Ham want to sign a cheating, provocative, wind up merchant like Kebe?! That's not my opinion of him by the way, but that was theirs a couple of weeks back after sockgate!

Much more likely to sign for Wigan or head back to France. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen though and he stays until the end of the season.

We need one or two more coming in. Create new competition and boost the squad depth. Personally I would want a creative mid. And another striker. Extra pace up top and a play maker. Won't happen I know

Gary Cahill, £7m, his contract runs out in the summer. Obviously not the same quality of player but it shows that players do have value for 6 months. £2m and he's gone IMO, to France prolly

2 mill for kebe would be brilliant for us if we used the money available to get in a proven goalscorer (billy sharp would be my ideal choice).

would also happily wave goodbye to howard. get him off the wage bill for any sort of fee

Mccarthy has to be kept hold of. brilliant prospect who has proven last season, and this season at leeds, that he is more than capable of stepping up to first team football

How about puncheon from Southampton didn't really make it while on loan to qpr doubtful he's in Southamptons plans as him and the manager had a falling out so could be pretty cheap. Decent enough player can score goals and would improve the squad, but if he's not in the first team week in week out could be the type of player to cause disruption in the dressing room but I trust mcd's man management skills and think he could be a decent cheap signing and the type of player that could help us push on for the rest of the season

I'm pretty certain that there will be more movement than just Williams and (probably) Howard.

Largely I think the club will play it on the basis of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" so I can't see McD's starting 11 changing fundamentally after the transfer window.

I suspect they want to hang on to Kebe - give him the contract he wants perhaps? - and might have their eye on either someone to bolster central defence (although we have Morrison, Gunnarsson and also saw Harte come on for Gorkks in the Brighton game so I can't see a "big" signing there), or, more likely in my opinion, a "plan B" in midfield - Siggy back on loan remains a remote possibility......

I don't reckon this will be without compromise though and my thoughts are that we might need to let McCarthy go to to balance this out...not ideal, but justifiable if we can strengthen the outfield team sufficiently to give us a real chance at "automatic"....

Why not offer Kebe the higher money for one year and then a drop to the longer-contract money
if we don't go up?
