winchester_royal The only academy graduate we've sold to a 'bigger' club is Gylf.

Ashdown and allaway for starters.

Ashdown left on a free, and Allaway has hardly been seem since.

Talk about rewriting history!

The club tried to sign Ashdown up to a new contract on the cheap (no change there then), he knew he was worth more so refused to sign, contract ran down and he left on a free for a bigger club and higher level of football (at that time).

WTF?

He left on a free. I'm not rewriting anything.

TBF Saying only Gylfi is a bit misleading. But you've got him bang to rights with your wording winch.

Also, Ashdown & Alloway were ages ago before the Academy was really up to full speed.

Went to this as its fairly local and our youth team play better than the 1st team.

TBH 3-0 was a bit harsh on you guys..had some good moments of attacking play.

We scored 3 well taken goals.

Michael Chambers, a teenage defender at Dulwich Hamlet, is the subject of an unlikely transfer pursuit involving no less than Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and seven other clubs.
Ten teams ranging from United to Bristol City, and including Everton and Aston Villa, were represented at Dulwich Hamlet’s Ryman League fixture last Saturday.

Chambers, 17, plays at centre half for Dulwich, who are top of their division. He is 6ft 2in, left-footed and has a growing reputation for elegance on the ball.
Originally with Millwall and then in Reading’s youth team, Chambers was thought to lack aggression and was released by the Championship club

And therein lies the problem

As a now Dulwich season ticket holder, I've seen Chambers play a couple of times. He looks fine and certainly hasn't made any obvious mistakes at the back, replacing football journey man Francis Duku (current club captain and ex-Reading Academy player). To be honest he doesn't look anything particularly specicial but he had a fantastic run in the FA Youth Cup with the rest of the team last year, 2 of which have already been snapped up by Palace and West Ham and who Nicky Hamond was keeping a watch on. He seems to have a good 'footballing brain' and will certainly beenfit from training at a higher level, unfortunately something we have to accept at Dulwich.

U18's beat Spurs 4-2 today with Samuel scoring a hat-trick.

The U16's also won against Tottenham, 8-0

A Spurs report on how our mean under 18's bullied their poor little shrinking violets.
