melonhead in which case, yeah, ive always been told when, or after, swearing at a copper that they should warn you first, then they can take you in the meatwagon and duff you up/arrest you if you carry on.

but then i guess thats more of a guideline, than a hard qnd fast rule

Thing is, the second he resists arrest, it doesn't matter if he's guilty or innocent, because it IS a crime to resist arrest and unfortunately you are arrested on suspicion, not on being proven guilty.

But "resisting arrest" is very much open to interpretation. Reacting as anyone would do when grabbed from behind is more than enough tp be deemed "resisting arrest".

Which is pretty irrelevent to the discussion seeing as he's admitted struggling with the police for a couple of minutes after they approached him.

They didn't "approach" him according to him, they bundled into him (all 9 of them remember) - they didn't come up and ask for a quiet word or anything. They got him in the toilets.

The old bill went into the toilets mob handed which was a tad excessive. Lowerwestjnr was calmly led outside the gates to the away end. These were then closed to anyone (supporters), and a few people attempted to view/video the incident. It was explained that the steward making the complaint was a prat for pushing the complaint but the police had to act upon it. Was lowerwest wise to struggle - not in my opinion, but this again depends on the situation outside the ground which is all supposition.

He was calm being led out and actually looked slightly shocked.

Why should they have to put up with being sworn at by muppets like you? Tbf, I would imagine most would use a little discretion and warn you first time off.

lowerwestjnr
pace=forster Seeing as it was clearly you, how about you explain it?

I was arrested for public order section 4a - swore at a steward apparently, when i was never within 15 foot of the guy who had claimed it. I stood my ground and said to them this is bullshit it's cost me a lot of money to get here and you are going on this? They took this as resisting so jumped on me, and then after about a few minutes of struggling suceeded into throwing me into the ground and causing me facial injuries (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/801/006hhy.jpg/) you can't see them that well, on the camera but it's obvious where they are.

What's your side for me being a 'oxf*rd'?

Hi lowerwestjnr, i'm one of the top boys in the notorious 'Wheelz boyz', Readings top firm. You sound useful and i would like you to join us. Please come and have a chat, we are generally having a pre-match beer at the disabled bar in the East stand concourse near Y25. Look forwards.
