Ian Royalmelonhead in which case, yeah, ive always been told when, or after, swearing at a copper that they should warn you first, then they can take you in the meatwagon and duff you up/arrest you if you carry on.

Thing is, the second he resists arrest, it doesn't matter if he's guilty or innocent, because it IS a crime to resist arrest and unfortunately you are arrested on suspicion, not on being proven guilty.
But "resisting arrest" is very much open to interpretation. Reacting as anyone would do when grabbed from behind is more than enough tp be deemed "resisting arrest".
