- in this league Downton were beaten 1-2 at home by Warminster today, ending the last unbeaten record amongst our 'local' leagues - I think Stansted over in the Essex Senior League (which is STEP05) were also unbeaten - haven't looked up their result today but conceivably they could be the only unbeaten side in the top six STEPS of the Pyramid. We did pop down the M3/M27(W) to AFC Totton's shiny new 'stadium'. Much easier to find than the old one in the middle of an estate.
- Crowd of 718 saw the leaders despatch a plucky Yate Town 4-1 - erstwhile 'Royals Legend
' Michael Meaker was on the bench for Yate - never looked remotely interested in coming on.
Home side have now scored 14 goals in their first three games at their Testwood Stadium. Totton & Eling (formerly BAT Sports) also have moved into a brand new but slightly smaller facility next door.
