Of course! I'd forgotten the FA Cup semis had been hijacked to pay for New Wembley. Seems I was digging after all.

blueroyals What an absolute joke of a line up where the hell have all our full backs gone? Griffin, Cummings, Kelly, Williams?

Why does Antonio never get a game? why not 4-4-2 with HRK and Antonio on the wings?

Why is Howard still at the club?

I'm getting more and more fed up of this club by the minute

Never mind, you can't be fed up all the time. Sometimes our team can score eight goals in two games

BWAHAHAHA

Apparently Howard has done very well tonight. I'm a Howard fan personally!

Sounded like the usual Howard display... nice football, some falling over, a little giving the ball away too easily and an assist from the corner.

A genuinely superb result; away at home, against an in-form team, playing an unusual formation and with a couple of key players left out - before the game a draw would have been seen as a good result, but a 3-1 win........simply fantastic!!

Well done to MaccyD, the boys and all the backroom staff - onwards to Manchester!

That really did look like a back-up side as well...

Gun, Khiz, Ivar, McCarthy, HRK, Howard, Hunt... all played bit parts so far this season and far from guaranteed starters over the season in entirety...

roadrunner Pearce isn't far away from fitness, Morrison is ready and waiting. Fear not.

Thinking about Sunday...I mean I would love to see Morrison get game time but maybe not his first against City in the quarters?

How about Manset?

Well I would love to see Manset get more time too. Up front we are pretty solid right now with Long and Hunt being on fire. I will say this I would love to see Manset be first off the bench...no offense to Church but that is what I'd like to see.

Small tip...

Cup tied: B Williams, M Manset, S Morrison.

MmmMonsterMunch This is just the momentum we need for Sunday. Please pretty please with cherries on top can we beat City on Sunday? I really feel that league & cup form goes hand in hand.

If we go out of the cup it really could take the wind out of our sails. We need to get to Wembley!

Well done Reading for a fantastic week. Didn't think you had it in ya..

I would love us to beat City - even one NIL and hear those hooligans that call themselves Man. City supporters chant "Mancini out!"

Absolutely. I wasn't thinking about Sunday specifically but more in terms of league play. But with the team's recent form who can argue with whom McD is sending out there? If it ain't broke don't try to fix it. But still I would love to see them given a chance to come off the bench a bit down the stretch...

Another beautiful free kick from Harte in the 93rd min would do me just fine!

Agreed - there's some pfucking quality stuff on the first couple of pages of this thread.

When will certain members of this site grasp that football is a team game? A squad game, in fact. Losing players through injury is part of the sport--and the idea is that others come in and play their part. The team doesn't suddenly cease to exist because this or that player is absent. Reading have proved the point time and time again over the years.

Hoop Blah Looks like 4-5-1 to me with a little bit of Sundays game in mind.

I can't see us getting more than a point.

Glad to be wrong on this one!

Great result and moves us a little bit closer to 6th, although I still think it's too much to ask, but you never know.....
