Mr Angry
Snowball
Mr Angry One of Harte's strengths defensively, is in the air; its amazing how many teams (like Boro on Saturday) think that the way to get past him is aerial. He rarely, if ever, misses a header. As WR says, Centre half (where he played for Carlisle) would be the logical place for him to play.

However, isn't this thread about him SCORING goals rather than conceding them? 7 League goals in 3/4's of a season for an aging and pedestrian left back is a pretty good return imho. HOWEVER, that doesn't get rid of the fact that left back is a position we need to strengthen in the close season.

AND find a player who can get ten goals to replace Harte's goals (9 Goals this season so far with at least 12 games to go)

The Young God that was Bertrand managed ONE in a season.

This thread is about League goals; thats 7.

This thread is about league goals. That is NINE.

Unless, of course you mean league goals this season for READING.

(He scored 2 this season for Carlisle and in the top-scorers list it shows him with 9)

Z175 The extra goals have somewhat replaced the Sig!

Not if Gylfi scored 20 last season

Of course I mean just for Reading - and that was the original meaning of the thread as well; I don't give a flying F**k if he had scored 50 league goals for someone else, I only care about a players contribution to Reading.

Having seen the 2nd goal on Saturday it was clearly an own goal by Boyd(?).
Are own goals now attributed to the last opposing player to kick or head the ball even if it were going wide?

Sadly, if you place a bet on top scorer, goals for other clubs DO count.

definition of whether it's a Harte goal or an OG is in the official record
or pubbed in Sporting Life, or a decision of the Dubious Goals Committee

We don't NEED to replace them at left back though.

And just remind me, how much more is a striker's goal worth than a left back's? Isn't goal a goal regardless of where you get it from?

Congratulations on missing the point (a bit like Kris Boyd's finishing)
