Man C are selling the block to the side of the usual away section already, selling well as well. That's block 116 and 216 for those that want to look. So there cannot be more tickets for RFC.

Harpers So Solid Crew There are enough tickets for everyone with 1600 points to get one on the monday. Which presumeably are the fans that attend most often, seems fair enough, perhaps the idea of having an allocation of 2800 is historical, we just do not take that many to away games, and while this is a special match, it is live on TV and over 200 miles away. Could be they want to make sure they sold the 2800 rather than risk sale or return of another 1500 odd.

Sounds like they have used the banding fine, the top 2800 should get a ticket if they want, then it is a bun fight, still easier than queuing for 4 hours round Elm Park back in the day.

If this really was their thinking, then they should have forgotten about the free coach travel, asked for more tickets and taken a chance on not selling them. Any loss incurred there would have been less than the cost of free coach travel.

They have not used the banding fine at all. How is it fair that people with 1599 Royalty points have no more chance of getting a ticket than those with just 600? So much for rewarding loyalty and another kick in the teeth for longstanding supporters to add to the April 28th season ticket renewal deadline.

If they had pulled their fingers out of their *rses there is no reason at all that the tickets could not have been on sale on Friday, allowing them to have several more, narrower bands.

To call them incompetent is being charitable.

Sod the bands.

Buy 5000 tickets, sell Fri - Mon to STHs. Tuesday general sale.

Offer subsidised coaches (tenner return?). They'd have sold the lot and got fans there cheaply. Win/Win

brendywendy You lot are oxf*rd unbelievable.the club cant win. They have a very short time to organise and sell the allocation.so staggering the points more is impossible.the give free transport for nearly 3000 people.at the cost of a new player. And all you can do is moan. Even if you dont get one on monday half wont take the transport offer. So im sure you can get 1 on tuesday. If we sell out quickly well get more. And if you live miles away thats just tough really. To get your approval the club would basically have to have bought more tickets than we have sold for an fa cup game in forever, and payed for everyone to get a personal limo. At the end of the day if its so important to you all of a sudden you can always drive up or get a train, and sit in the away end. You poor things. Id sue the club if i were you.

What a complete load of boll*cks!!! They had ample time to organise it. Give one valid reason why the tickets could not have been on sale on Friday!! That would have allowed more, narrower, bands. Just how long do you thing it really takes to sort out?? It's not like they haven't ever done this sort of thing before. Had they taken Mills' plea to be more positive on board, they could even have started planning before the game. Afterall, both City and Villa have similar capacities so they could have planned things out based on a target number of tickets.

And if the club can get more tickets, why don't they state that clearly on the OS, instead of a message passed through Twitter and Fordham? Which stand will these tickets be for, given the reports that City are selling seats in the other part of the stand normally allocated to away supporters to their own fans?

"And if you live miles away thats just tough really." - unbelievable!! You and the merchant bankers at RFC truly deserve each other.

As for suing the club, why bother. Far more effective to tell the club to shove their season tickets and useless Royalty points scheme where the sun doesn't shine!

Let's not all fall out over this and yes I am one of those who lives miles away.

It was bad judgement by the club but nobodies fault on here that I'm aware of.

A great gesture from the club for free travel and quite rightly giving the most loyal supporters the chance to purchase tickets first. It just feels like unless you fall into that category the club have cast you aside!

Let's have 3 points this afternoon! C'mon Urzzz

For those so confident that the club will get extra tickets if required, this has been posted on the Bluemoon forum:

http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewt ... 6&start=20

Manchester la la la la
Leicester_royal I'm sure we would have been close to selling out the 5,800 allocation that we could and should have taken.

Unfortunately now it all depends on how quickly our club request a further allocation and then if they give themselves enough time to sell them.

The FA Cup clearly means a lot to our manager, players and fans, not sure that we can include the club in this though.

unfortunately you wont be getting any more as the areas of the ground that would've been given to you if you had took the full 6k are already being sold to season ticket holders (and these blocks will be amongst the first to go due to being in the most popular part of the ground)

Incidentally I see that Readingfc50 edited his/her post last night. Would I be right in thinking this was to remove the word 'initial' from 'initial allocation'?

If so, I assume that Readingfc50 is connected to the club and has mirrored the OS who also seem to have removed the word 'initial' . Why would they take the trouble to do this, unless our allocation is a final/finite 2,800?

You don't know whether we will get another allocation if we sell out quickly. If we do fine. If we don't then don't you think its a shame that supporters who want to travel to support the team won't be able to because the club didn't get a big enough allocation and with thousands of empty seats inside the ground.
Oh and thanks for the comment about tough if you live so far away. People like you really encourage support away from the narrow confines of Reading

Jonny Fordham twitter 45 minutes ago

' if the initial allocation sells out the club are hoping to get more, I believe '

I am hoping to win the lottery tonight, I'll let you know how I get on!
Now if I could plan to win the lottery, I think I may just do that.

It's probably along the lines HSSC suggested, the club would be exposed financially taking a larger allocation because City were being bastards by not allowing any returns. They may even be concerned about selling 2800 and so they came up with the free travel as a way to guarantee all tickets sell.

So don't blame the TO, they were probably being careful, it's the City ticketing policy that's the problem. Particularly given there will be thousands of empty seats elsewhere in the ground.

My only problem with it all is the poor communication and delayed start to selling tickets. Why couldn't they sell on Saturday and Sunday even if they couldn't get the free travel vouchers printed in time they could post them out later.

I'm in the top band but still debating whether to go, 5hrs on a coach is a very long way back if we get beaten.

I have spoken to the reading ticket office Manager. about all the issues we have. they say the 2,800 ticket allocation was decided before the club decided to put on free travel and they did not know the club was going to do this. if they had know this would have ask for more tickets.

and as for the points, they say, they still have not received the tickets yet, they cannot go on sale till they have them, which Monday and the point system on the man city game was the fairest way to do it.

I ask why they have left it so late to sort the tickets, out their reply was they did know who was going to play man city or Aston villa. so they had to wait and see. So I said, why did you not talk to both club about tickets and sort it out earlier
the reply I got was yes that would have been a good idea.

as for more tickets all they said was if we did sell fast they would talk to man city
I then pushed her and asked is that a yes or no answer and again was told, would talk to man city.

but have checked man city web site it looks to me they are selling ticket each side of us so that says no to me.

this show there will be no more tickets once the 2800 have sold out as stated both sides are being sold to man city supports.

See, typical statement of an "I'm alright Jack" bod who won't say a bad word against the club. Anyone, however loyal a royal they are, who thinks that the allocation of tickets we've been given is fair and right, is barking.

EDIT: that was in response to Bendy Wendy btw.
