There'll be loads of time to sell any subsequent allocation won't there?

SLAMMED Renewed my season ticket today which put my royalty points up to 1700 which mean I can buy my ticket on monday 8)

Are they a lot cleverer than we thought?

Was this a cunning plan to get people to renew early?

Our points range between 1237 & 1356, so it's midnight mayhem on Monday for me...bit miffed, but only seen two games this season and we dropped our season tickets after moving out of the area, so I can see where our shortfall kicks in.

Still, have already bought return train tickets (£9 return each, but then that is only from Stoke upwards) and will either hope to get match tickets on Monday night, through a release of a second wave or will just troll up there on Sunday anyway and if worst comes to the worst, find a decent pub showing the game...

I always thought it was a good idea on the Southampton forum that the TO had a forum account and answered queries fans had about tickets giving reasons that were not always obvious why they did things in a particular way. It's a shame that our TO don't do this.

Not really...Wednesday/Thursday makes it tight to get them in the post for Saturday.

Another f*ck up by RFC IF TRUE.......Why RFC can't make an announcement in the first place to state " Should there be sufficient demand RFC can request more tickets from Man City for the sixth round QF match", simple really.

Exactly. Plus oxf*rd one.

Rather aptly, it would appear they prefer to communicate via Twitter

Glad I'm not the one to sort out the fans with coach bookings but not match tickets or the ones with match tickets but not coach bookings! :|

I feel that the telephones at the ticket office will not cope. :| Oh well, here's hoping for an early connection.

You are never going to make everyone entirely happy with ticketing allocation, but this does seems a balls up of epic proportion by the club.

Who is in charge of making these decisions? Seriously RFC - you need to look at who you employ as they seem incompetent.

Agreed Kes. At least the ticket banding for Stevenage made sense.

The way this could pan out, I suspect the club might be very happy to give you the full credit for the idea!

I would start looking for a hiding place now!

Actually from a business view this does make sence, a lot of STHs could be encouraged to renew their tickets to get into the top band. From a logistics point of view it's a knightmare that the TO will have to sort out.

'knightmare' = Freudian slip?

Actually I don't think they are that clever and/or there are that many cash rich season ticket holders to make the positive effect of such a 'plan' outweigh the backlash from the rest.

Just before the witchhunt begins, I didn't tell them what allocation to get, although I did ask them to send my apologies to the team that I wouldn't be able to be there, so maybe that had some bearing :P

They did email me back to say they were very sorry to hear I wouldn't make it!
