PieEater Strange the emphasis on the word "buy" in the OS article. Usually they just say signed.
A bit of attempted spin too far IMHO.

biscuitman I would prefer Kevin Phillips.

Gordons Cumming Personally I'd pick up Cureton as a loan move.
Finishing was spot on last night against Brentford.

RobRoyal I'm quite chuffed about the Morrison signing. Plenty of time ahead of him to improve, already with some decent experience playing well at L1 level, and at a good price.
Williams I'm rather dubious about. Ideally we'd be looking to loan him out to a L2 or L1 club to stagger the learning curve. Hopefully we're going to pick up another striker without losing anyone to enable that to happen.

Cureton's a hero, but at this level at his age?![]()
In their fond memories of Curo people forget how frustrating he could be. He needed very precise service or he struck an isolated figure.

Interesting stuff in the Soton papers saying Ian Baird rated him as a potential professional from Day One

Ian Royal I see yet another window goes by with signings in it once again proving wrong those who say we never sign anyone.
Look forward to seeing how they get on.

How come his original big move was to AFC Totton then?!
