Royal Lady Don't start me on about the creche. I even wrote to JM with some ideas and said I'd be willing to help out with setting up etc, if necessary - got a one line reply saying the creche was no longer going ahead.

Does seem strange for a club that pitches itself as family friendly.

It's called planning, put loads in the application, build the main structure, then scrap the bitys that made the thing look so good.

Chatham St anyone, new pool, new plazza over the IDR, feck no, build the car park and flats then shelve the rest. Happens all the time, Lower Earley, yeah schoold as will be needed, land handed to council, then most sold off for housing.

Wrong thread I know, but this was my bugbear for years and years - even used to argue with the Tory councillor who used to call during local election times when she repeatedly stated the mantra that "there wasn't enough pupils to fill it" - one of the things that I have annually disagreed with for about 25 years.

Same stuff happening now with Emmbrook, though I think that is now staying open. Possible school proposed at Arborfield on the Garrison site, but has been said that it is now now closing within the original time frame, so there has still not been a replacement for the now closed Ryeish Green school, despite all the houses built in Shinfield.

TBF WBC seem to be trying to deal with it by removing pupils from Reading Council from Bulmershe and Maiden Erlegh.

The problems are that as the lines on the gravel surface have been lost and with drivers parking without direction, we get a variety of issues

For the price charged a pot of paint and a brush should be within budget to remedy this?
If SJM is too tight to pay for a painter he could do it himself.

How much is it to park at the stadium car park?
And wrt painting lines etc, it doesn't affect JM so he's not bothered about it - as long as people still pay the money up front for a season, he really doesn't seem to care.

North Somerset Royal Red Car Park is £130 per season.

Something like 1500 CP st, so add £10 on and it would soon pay for it. Especially if they knew a few travellers with a bit of spare tarmac!!
