andrew1957 With Howard out for the next three games the obvious solution is to play the £7M in ten pound notes instead in a big stack. A pile of money will probably show more movement and be more likely to score. At least we will all be able to see Siggy's replacement then!

DOYLERSAROYALER BMc quote " Not many teams will come to Millwall and get anything"........

today Millwall 1 - 4 Watford, so far

get a reality check Brian ...you need new players, you know it, we know it...why dont you tell the chairman ...because you fall in line with the likes of grapefeeder and just say "yes" sir !!

No doubt there will be suitable excuses for today, but if Watford can turn over Millwall with ease, please dont get ahead of yourself on the midweek result!

So in your world, McDermott complains to Madejski, who in turn reiterates the financial position the club is in and his belief that saving money is the right thing to do. McDermott continues to complain, falls out with the chairman and the board, Hammond's job is made even harder and everybody starts pulling in different directions. The atmosphere at the club changes, no one looks forward to going into work and the results get steadily worse.

Or back in the real world, McDermott takes time to understand the position the club and the chairman are in, accepts it and goes about bringing everyone together and striving for the same goal.

Things are not going to change anytime soon, get used to it and you'll find yourself enjoying the season a lot more, come what may.

You total fool.

Millwall were 20-odd games unbeaten at home before today. A point was a good result, and that doesn't change just because Watford go and win there in a freak result.
and i guess this is a freak result as well ...you fool !
Er... no, we're not that great and we're going to finish midtable, probably behind Middlesbrough.

What's your point?[/quot

my point is 1-6 is a result shows that Watford got their game plan right...so whats your basis for calling it a freak ????? they out thought Millwall today- Reading didnt on Tuesday

No it isn't. If you're last man you get one game. Fouls and abusive language is usually 2.

The total fool is the cnut Madejski! No need for another striker, my *rse! We play two 'strikers' (in the loosest sense of the word) and they fail fo find the net at Millwall. Watford run up 6 and they by no means have the strongest strike force but at least they have one. They're not going to go bust for it either!

As for a freak result, the new boys to the division (most of those twenty games were in a lower division) have now been found out and will look nowhere near as good as people thought they were. It's just our team weren't strong enough to find them out thanks to Madejski's cloth cutting.

howser Madejski will be happy though, we have a team good enough to stay up, but not good enough to risk his pocket by getting promotion. I think that this is easilly obvious when you see Gunnar as a starter, no disrespect, but there is no way he should be considered as a "regular" nowadays he should be the one who comes to shore it up when we have a slender lead. I might have got this wrong, not being a football genius like some on here, but, could we do with a strike, that can score a goal ??? just an observation that is ??

Think you have it spot on howser, there's no way that Madejski wants to see us fail, of course not. But equally theres very little evidence that he wants to see us push on and succeed, i.e. get promoted. I personally believe he's just marking time hoping for someone to buy the club off him. As such, I predict midtable mediocrity until there is a change of ownership, after that happens who knows what comes next!

Kitson12 Good. That means we don't have to have this useless donkey in midfield for the next 3 games.

I agree but what is worrying is that we have no one to take his place. Why on earth is Davies out on loan and why on earth did we not sign anyone when Gylfi went- I hope this result serves to give the club a right kick up the arse- in the long run this result could be just what we need, to sort out the fecking mess

Because Brian said we didnt need anyone ...simple :?

Because Madjeski has managed to find himself yet another timid yes man! I suspect his other businesses are pretty full of them too. Methinks he doesn't like it when someone has the balls to stand up and tell him exactly what they think.

Well, thank god we flew the team up there so they were nice and fresh. 25 seconds they lasted wasn't it? I'd make them walk back in all honesty. Lack of any quality in depth in this side, at least there are only 39 games of what looks to be a wholly uninspiring season left.

Positives from today - surely Pearce will now be dropped and we can bring Zurab in for the job we are no doubt paying him a crippling wage to do.

But it was with a squad that still looks short of quality and, to a lesser extent, numbers and comes on the back of an away game we should've lost, a home game we were largely outplayed in until we got two fortuitous penalties and another away game we won but probably should've lost.

To suggest this is an isolated result would be wide of the mark by my reckoning.
