Did anyone see Sepp Blater's innapropriate handball comments? The man really is a fool and needs to retire soon.

There's an intersting interview with Shay Given in todays Telegraph where he discusses the heartache of not makin the WC and some of Blatters subsequent comments which show Blatter to be pretty incompetant.

Excellent that England are drawn in Group C. I'm just booking my time off work (to watch on telly). As far as I can tell the only England game in office hours is Slovenia Wed 23 June, 15:00. All other possible quarter, semi and finals are weekend or evening.

Is anyone else bored already? Especially as, according to the media, England are pretty much home and hosed? I'm sure my interest will be piqued more when we actually get to June but for now any commentators mentionin potential World Cup matchups in PL games can fook right off

Maybe they've seen 11-4 scorelines on a Sunday morning and want to re-create that in the WC?!

Actually yes.

I'm not sure I can cope with 7 months of "England will progress as they are third favourites with the bookies" and all that, only to find out in the 8th month that getting knocked out in the quarters 'was always the most likely outcome'.

Pedestal bashing again. :x

If England finish top of group C and providing they make the quarter finals, they will all be Friday and Saturday night games apart from that Slovenia game.

A few nights in the AD are on the horizon me thinks!

Very lucky on the scheduling. The late games are 1.30 pm here, and I'm off work afternoons for the summer. Wasn't looking forward to the prospect of an early morning game. England-USA on a Saturday afternoon will get everyone drooling over here, soccer fans and skeptics alike. Should be a massive tV audience.
