West_Reading Al-Fahim completes his takeover.

Will he really rubber stamp the Tommy Smith deal, when his mate's signing Tevez, Adebayor etc?

Basingstoke Royal Pompey fans are hopeful that the takeover will stop the Tommy Smith move going through.
There is also talk that Paul Hart has been/or will be sacked as will Peter Storrie.
This could throw a big fat spanner in the works.
From Smiths point of view - would you want to join a club that has four strikers already and will likely be signing big names which will all be ahead of him in the pecking order.
surely this transfer cant have another twist......

Brendan Rodgers remains hopeful of adding attacking options to his squad before the end of the transfer window.
Rodgers said, "The players are working really well, we've had players going out and we need to get players in, that's going to be very important. We just need that wee bit of support and that's what we're looking to do.
"There's other players in the pipeline and a few names have been in the fire ever since I came here, and that will be important for the group. The players are giving their all, they're just not getting the rub of the green.
"If we add a couple of players to give us support up the field that will help us move forward. From box to box we are getting there easily, it's just in the final third and those are the players we're looking to bring in.
"We've got young talent in here but it just needs to be dripped in and out, rather than the responsibility of every game. I respect that the club have had to move players on, we've brought a couple in and it's important to do more.
"To help those here, it will be better for us all if we can get things done. We've got exciting talents here, good experience and we need that wee bit of support. As a manager you need patience and perseverance. On the pitch we will have that, and that will bring us our results. Off the field you need it too."
