He said "hopefully we may have a signing or two" by Saturday, if not "certainly for early next week".
As for Chelsea selling out - the Reading area is littered with the Chelsea fans, unfortunately.

It'll be an interesting team that he'll pick, given that the Community Shield is more of a friendly than anything CA might be willing to experiment a little here.
Either way it'll be a fairly strong squad and Reading should give us a good game.
