When was the last time we signed anyone that got the fans excited?
Rogers might turn out to be a good manager, but its a bit boring isn't it?

Wouldn't know - i strangely don't follow other teams.

The art of Coppell was under the radar players

Yeah, in seven out of the last nine seasons we've not known on the last day of the season what league we'd be playing in the next year - and of those two, one year we didn't know if we'd be playing in Europe the next year, and the other we were about break the all-time points record for that league.

So I'd say very boring.

Go back to your village - they're missing their idiot!

As I recall the signing of Kitson on loan caused quite a bit of excitement. That wasn't exactly a long time ago.

sign someone who isn't playing in the french 2nd division or Ireland.

look for the BEST manager available not the cheapest.

when was the last player we signed that was actually someone the fans wanted?

Silly me, reading what the thread title was before it was changed!

Most people aren't interested in what goes on off the pitch, it's the team that it's all about. But, of course, I suppose you could say Southampton are a much more exciting CLUB at the moment...

As a club we are boring.

We dont take risks, we make uninspired decisions.

Maybe that's the right way to run a football club though as its better than being Southampton or Leeds, but it would be nice every now and then to just take risk.

Ah now we're talking club.

Looking at and signing a player who could be exciting are two different entities. We will never go for or get a player who is 'known' and has a high price tag UNLESS they fit in the team, blah, blah , blah.

The club will never go for the boom and bust option of a higher level prima donna as we are currently building our own and getting rid of them.

What makes a club exciting and 'dynamic' anyway.
This club is not a market force, is a middle tier club financially and has more benefits and attributes than certain clubs in the higher league.
Please expand more on your theory of 'boring'.

I was excited when we signed Dan Harding on loan and when we beat Shizuma S-Pulse in the 2007 Peace Cup.

Not overly sure who you expect us to sign given our situation.

Personally if Rodgers gets the job I'll jizz in my pants. Young, exciting, talented............I'd be delighted.

To be honest. Watford string more passes together than we do.
