We look solid defensively at least, the goals will come. Death's old record is coming back home.

Snowball
rg6royal That was pretty poor tbh.

Was impressed yet again with Lita though.

WHY? Exactly? He had two chances (one offside) and blasted them both straight at the keeper

2 more than anyone else and worked his socks off and chased every single ball, unlike the lita of old. Good effort from the lad and a good attitude.

Are we not in the top three on current form, 10 games??

as for you Schards, is it really dull and uninspiring, or dull and frustrating?

Personally I am frustrated, and I know I am not seeing the games, but we just seem to be that thing short, a sparkle, someone that can turn the game, at any given point. That Caskey moment, knowing a free kick could do it, lovell scoring in the last few minutes so often, Quinn from a corner, Curo sneaking in after a goal line clearance, Forster breaking free and outpacing all around for the 1-0 win. We just don't seem to have that at the moment,we are a team, adamned good team, but when things are stale it seems to be throughout the team. We dont really even have alocal hero yet, someone to come from the bench and do the impossible, many had hoped Cox would have been that hero, but sadly was not to be, Church, perhaps soon.

Two full games, failed to score. Personally I don't think he's a patch on Noel Hunt.

Hunt works harder and more intelligently and is a better fit with Doyle.

Does Lita ever pass?

Apart from a few lay-backs to Rosenior I can't remember one.

Very dull and abject! Defence held firm (Duberry's distribution was shite), forwards put themselves about well (thought Lita looked more motivated than previous performances) and atleast tried to make something happen, but yet again the midfield was so so poor. Harper failed to create anything of note in the 70 mins he was on the pitch and neither of the wingers even attempted to run at the full back for the first 85 mins. When the ball was in wide positions the crosses were poor and even though he looked slightly off the pace, Matejovsky atleast tried to make something happen and deserves a run in the side. Let's face it though, we have been poor for months.

Leroy is strong and was holding the ball up nicely today, good work rate as well which is rare

The goal drought (!!) is a little worrying but going up against a team who hustled out players 2 on 1 all the time, got behind the ball to stifle the game, and our lack of a good first touch and wayward passing never looked like being a great game.
Wolves lost, Brum drew so we have gained a point with a game in hand. Those are the pluses. The negatives are currently the lack of leadership decisiveness to attempt to close a game down. Perhaps the pressure of failure is getting to the team now it's squeeky bum time.

The ref was dire, and killed the game with his continuous lectures after a foul. At least Doyle made it through the flattening he received.

International break now, for better or worse.

Franchise, those that don't go to the game are entitled to an opinion but IMHO it's not worth a lot.

What I don't think they are entitled to do is refer to the supporters who spend vast sums of time and effort and money to go to the games 'so called fans' from the comfort of their armchair.

It's no surprise that those who don't see the games are more positive than those who do.

And in those months we have taken 26 from 39 points. Championship form I'm sure you'll agree.

It seems Reading are a victim of their own recent success and some supporters have no patience. It seems to be the way of the world these days, everyone is after instant gratification but that is another matter.

agreed and to be fair the topic is back from the game, rather than back from the kitchen with a nice cup of tea.

Agreed and asking about views from those that attended, and questioning what has been heard on the radio is all a part of thre thread.

Still sounded ruddy frustrating to me.

Same old im afraid, the bubble really has burst.
We haven't put a dominating performance in at home for months, excluding watford as the scoreline didn't reflect the game.
We have no pace, tempo, fluidity or rhythm anymore. Our midfield was abysmal until marek came on. Harper was the best of a bad bunch in there so suprised he was dragged off.

Federici 6- Solid, good distrubtion, no qualms.
Rosenior 6- Not helped by kebe but well below par in every aspect
Pearce 8- A rock, sensible headers and passes and looks very mature, great prospect. Man of the match.
Doobs- 6- Defended well but distrubtion of ball was sunday league as usual
Armstrong 5 - Didn't put a foot wrong defensively but is awful going forward, rubbish crosser of the ball and can't pass.
Harper 6- Best of the midfield but needs to be more ambitious going forward
Cisse 5- Gave the ball away a lot and wasn't dominating enough
Kebe 4- Woeful, one good game in 4, crossing and control wasn't good enough.
Hunt-4- Left wing version of kebe but with better control
Lita- 7- Did well, worked the hardest in the team today, encouraged by his attitude.
Doyle-6- Took a knock and it shook him, looked very slow both mentally and physically second half.

Nice to see January's investment in the squad making an impact, oh wait, neither on the bench.

Stats don't tell the full story. I'd take a points in any form necessary but you can't tell me that with the way we are currently playing you are not concerned that we are going to be caught?

Coppel has said on the OS that he was dissapointed with the Ref stop-starting the game, i felt we got the majority of the decisions our way, and given that i always seem to think the majority of our goals are scored from set pieces I dont get why hes bitching about it. Thought we did ok by the ref today to be honest.
