Darren Bent missed a clear header. HOW did he miss that.

Eh?

Spurs have never won a Prem game with Bale in the team....(will be 21 games if it stays 1-1)..and if Bent keeps heading wide from 4 yards out, they won't win this one......what a miss!!Not as bad as Zaki yesterday though

To be fair to Bent, he saw James well over to his side, so he tried to tuck it into the corner out of James's reach. He just got it to the wrong side of the post. If he had headed it straight at James mr perfect Gray would have abused him for that too.

It certainly livens the bottom 5 up for now. GD seems such a talisman. I should think the bookies are having a slight twitch at the moment.

The stat about Bale is a poor one but just for the record Spurs have only won 5 league games out of 22 this season and the player had a bad injury last season.
I think he would be a terrific wing-back for a team that plays the system or an orthodox left-sided midfielder where he tends to play for Wales but in keeping with most left-backs in English football he is not a great defender.

As someone pointed out on 606 yesterday, what are the odds of all of 'Arry's past and present clubs (Spurs, Portsmouth, Southampton and Bournemouth) all being relegated this season?

The point was made down here a few weeks ago.
It would be funny but I can't see both Spurs AND Pompey going down and West Ham look nearly safe now.
As for Saints and Bournemouth they both look odds on now.
Just as an aside re-Pompey although 'Arry brought in a number of players on high wages the club has done very nicely out of the Muntari,Diarra and Defoe transfers pocketing something like £15 million or so net on the transactions in less than a year.
IMHO he might be bad but he aint all bad.

I don't want to ruin this, but I shall.

He was also at West Ham for ages.

Maybe them going bust would count.

PlasticRoyale
Ginger Ninjas
1526: What's this? A fan wanders onto the pitch at Reebok Stadium and stand in the centre circle waving a red and white scarf about. The game stops, the fan continues to wave his scarf about, but the stewards are in no particular hurry to deal with it. There's about 20 of them standing nervously on the touchline. Eventually, he is removed.

What was that about?

Tawt

FC United for this chap now.

You got to give a bit of respect to a guy that runs on the pitch and buys himself enough time to show his arse off to the home fans.

To be honest he looks the kind of chap whose strides will fall down anyway after a bit of a jog
