SPECULATION - Simion Jackson

by Deathy » 04 Jan 2009 14:48

Gills striker.

Really impressed with him in the first half against Villa, and now just smashed in a superb goal.

Pacey, not the tallest, but yes please, and not a bank breaker.

Very impressed.

That'll be the 58 minutes you've seen of him that persuade you he's worth a punt.
Don't give up your day job for feelance scouting.

Feelance scouting? Only on a Saturday night!

He looks a good forward. Pacey, quick feet and has been a real handful for the Premiership's current 4th best side.

Wel worth keeping an eye on this kid over the coming months!

You've still only seen 80 minutes of him - in a game he is probably charged up for. It's too short a period to make ANY sort of judgement.

.............................but don't let that stop you.

Very positive performance from the lad. Showed good pace, clever runs, caused a top 4 premiership defence problems all game, and scored a terrific goal.

Definitely not worth scouting.

I mean, these scouts that go and watch a player but see someone else catch their eye because of one good performance...I mean, pointless them then scouting him too. Never leads to anything, obviously.

I've been hearing a fair bit of praise for him this side of the country.

LOL at you all for criticising Deathy for daring to speculate about a player he's seen in a game on the telly. Like anyone on here makes an informed comment about a player bar what they've seen in the media or heard from a mate of a mate.

He's not the first person to think Jackson looked in that game and he won't be the last.

You'd have a point if the rest of you were any better informed.

R5 said in their commentary yesterday that Jackson was being looked at by a number of clubs at higher levels.
