Deathy If Lita goes in January it wont be for anything like seven figures. Not with 6 months on his contract remaining. Get real.

We are going to be f**ked if Doyle or Hunt get injured.

Great work Coppell. You fuked us last season doing this. Great stuff.

ronaldo and rooney out of manu= oxf*rd
kightly and jarvis out of wolves=oxf*rd
if we or anyone else get two injuries to the 2 main players in any area of the pitch=oxf*rd.

I would hazard a level of disagreement at that. They have this thing called a 'squad'.

Berbatov and Tevez could easily play up front, Tevez can drop deep, Giggs, Nani, Park can cover the wide areas for all but the most important games.

Win their game in hand and they're 3 points off the pace. I would not call that oxf*rd by any stretch of the imagination.

because ronaldo is back now.

and oxf*rd is relative anyway
outside of top 4 is kinda oxf*rd for united

my point still stands-take away any teams best two players and things will dip a little
yes money buys you better repacements, but i still dont think UTD look as good without the 1st choice peeps.

Its at home. To Fulham. They probably will.

Going back to my first post on the matter ...

They have this thing called a 'squad'.

Berbatov and Tevez could easily play up front, Tevez can drop deep, Giggs, Nani, Park can cover the wide areas for all but the most important games.

They have lost one game, away, to a team that could be considered one of their rivals.
I would not call that "oxf*rd" by any stretch of the imagination.

Your original point was clearly not "take away any teams best two players and things will dip a little", it was clearly that they'd be "oxf*rd" (here it is, just to remind you "ronaldo and rooney out of manu= oxf*rd"), so it, obviously, does not still stand.

I'll just take it that you didn't really mean what you said in your first post on this matter and have subsequently realised it was over-egging things a bit.

the original post said we were oxf*rd without hunt and doyle
i was replying to that
i reckon we are about as oxf*rd without them as any other team are relatively oxf*rd without their best two strikers
but thanks for telling me what i was thinking

At least, once caught, you drop the goalposts.

You're right, of course.

Shane Long will come good, of course he will. And there's always Mooney, right?

Fear not.

Woodcote Royal That yellow kit will go nicely with his boots.

There's also this thing called the loan market we could use if we really, really get screwed injury wise between now and the 1st Nov. You know the one Norwich have just used...

The blokes 4th choice striker, has looked worse in his time on the pitch this season than Long (and he's not been great) and now has a chance to get some games at Norwich that he won't get here, could score some goals against teams around us and do us a favour.

After the 1st November he may come back in to the ranks as a form striker and offer us a much better option than he does now - it's pretty much a win, win situation.

Chris, Coppell only loaned out our 4th striker last season leaving us with three! That's the point.

Yes now we have 5 strikers, woo. But Lita, what ever the reasons for him going out on loan again and not being in favour, is far far better than Long!!

Lita out and likely to leave in January so I hear, leaves us with Doyle and Hunt, which is great as long as they remain fit.

If they don't, Long gets more games and we're f**ked.

Still doesn't explain your view that Coppell loaning out our 4th choice striker for 1 month last season "fuked" up our season as you put it and it sure as shit doesn't mean doing the same for 1 month this season would either.

So all of a sudden Hunt is as near as damn it irreplaceable, using what we have, Coppell has done the best thing for all concerned, if Lita scores a few and looks good we might sgift him on in Jan for some money, he may well help us by scoring against opposition that is out direct competition.

But the main point is that there is no reason to believe that Hunt and Doyle will get crocked at the same time, you can only cover so many options, we had too many players last season, by Coppells own admission, this season we have a tighter squad.

Teams like Man Utd are in a different ball game all together, they play in two very difficult competitions, Prem and Europe, both are demanding, and lucrative finacially, they need and can afford more players, being used in Europe, but missing Prem games is a tad different to playing in a reserve team in the FA and League cup, then not getting a sniff at the proper first team.
