Victor Meldrew
UpNorth Why not?

Sonks is gone, Inga is not what he was, Bikey wants out and Doobs is always crocked (Bennet and Sodie are not wanted).

How about that lad Gerrard from Walsall?

I agree with you-there are 4 months to go after tomorrow and an injury or two more and we really could be in lumber.

You have the loan system through the championship season not like the pl. So if we do get short in any position coppell can bring in a loanee, so its not essential to bring in another CB before the transfer window closes.

Does anybody know the rules on loans nowadays?
A lot of lower division clubs exist on loan players and it will be interesting to see if we follow that route.
Hull got promotion on the back of one good loan player but there is then the problem of replacement if you get promoted-mind you for most clubs it is a question of bringing in 4 or 5 after promotion so I suppose whatever team you get there with (including loan players) doesn't matter too much as changes and improvements need to be made.

I believe you can have as many as 5 loan players in a matchday squad at any time. Loan window shuts tonight and opens again in a couple of weeks time.

imo we don't need any more CB
We've got: Ivar, Bikey, Pearce, Doobs, Sodje, Cisse, Gunnarsson, Bennet
if we get someone new in it would mean coppell won't be keeping pearce involved in the first team - or bikey is leaving
not sure many fans would be pleased if bikey leaft or if pearce was put back in the reserves
