Ian Royal Kitson: 18+4, 19 & 5
Forster: 7+1, 9+4 & 17
Goater: 11 & 12+2
Doyle: 18+1
Lita: 11+4
Since we got promoted back up again. Unsurprisingly I didn't bother with Owusu. So from that we can see the much maligned Goater is at about the same level as Mr Lita, although I hope Lita breaks th e15 mark with us in the coming season.
Kitson would certainly have broken 20 on both his high scoring seasons but for injury. I don't know if you could argue the same for Forster, though he was also much troubled by a brittle body.

Ian Royal The HNA? archives aren't good enough to work out goals to games stuff, there are all sorts of bits missing and just plain wrong reports. And it would take forever to sort out.
Strap should be able to pull out an appearances and goals figures for each player and each season if he feels like it I'd have thought
From the Championship season on rough calculations from the match reports I make it:
Kitson - League 28(7) 18 & Cup 6(0) 4
Doyle - League 40(5) 18 & Cup 3(4) 1
Lita - League 22(4) 11 & Cup 3(3) 4
Which gives Kitson a pretty phenomenal strike rate that season! Doyle comes out looking pretty good given it was his first season at this sort of level. And Lita's record also looks impressive.
Who says all Coppell's signings need bedding in time.

rhroyal In 2005/06 you can see that Lita is actually quite impressive. Compare his rate with Sidwell in the league:
Lita: 22(4) apps, 11 goals and then 3(3) and 4 goals in cup competitions.
Altogether that;s 25 (7) apps and 15 goals, which is practically 1 in 2. You should also then remember that massive spell when Kitson was injured and Lita was probably about 60% or so fit and he didn't score much. When he was fit and firing he must have been absolutely on fire. I think he can really storm the Championship this season.
Sidwell also got 10 league goals from 29(4) league games, which is a rate a lot of strikers would be happy with. I think we'll miss that sort of strike rate from midfield this season.

Archie's penalty The more you think about it the more impressive that team in 05/06 was!
We were amazing!

Ian Royal Watching some of the videos of that season it looks like teams just had no idea how to cope with us. Some of them, it's almost like they gave up trying to defend because they knew it wouldn't make any difference.
We scored from corners & freekicks, breaks, long shots, crosses, through balls, bundles in the box. Plenty of goals weren't pretty or seem like terrible defending having watched two premier league seasons. If we can replicate even half of that quality we'll have a good chance of promotion.
If we start well I could see other clubs almost giving up the idea of being able to beat us the way we smashed most of them last time.
