Royalee Rev Algenon Stickleback H Royalee Well done the RTGs for once again trying to ignore the inevitable. I would like to extend a hearty round of applause to the car park brigade for scuppering any chance we would have had of going back up - congratulations, you're all heroes.
Save our Steve.
yes, I'm sure he'll come out and say "I'd have stayed if Coppell had gone. I'm glad to see the back of him". I'm sure that was a key factor in him wanting to play in the premiership this season.
Do they let you near razor blades without supervision?
Two words:
FORWARD PLANNING. Of course if Coppell wasn't some sort of useless dickhead who has yet to learn from 20 years as a manager, he may have seen this coming and looked to bed in some long term replacements before pre-season begins. Look at how Ferguson at Man Utd is looking to bring in that Chilean prodigy as a long term replacement for Ronaldo while he's still at the club. All the best managers plan in advance, we just 'react'. If you see a bee about to sting you, you dont wait for it to sting you before reacted because that's stupid. And that's what we've been, stung.
And replace him with who exactly

, silly me of course theres a bottomless pit of proven quality managers out there waiting to be called upon-sanchez,robson,martin allen, holloway the 'enticing' list goes on.You tell me the amount of teams that have gone down from the Prem, sacked the manager and the replacement has had little if any success in bringing teams back. I dont even see much potential from managers that are currently with a club either. The facts dont lie, managers like Hoddle,Dowie,Pards,Redknapp,Robson etc have all found taking on newly relegated sides proves a very difficult task to take on and has ultimately ended in failure.Quite why you are blithering on about Man Utd and Ferguson as a premis for Coppells apparent lack of management skills makes me realise how much the premiership and all its trappings have clearly consumed you in your recent arguments.Relegation was a bitter blow of course but i cant see how you would think Reading would conduct themselves in any other way than they are currently doing and have done in the past-our approach is one that won over plaudits and supporters from every corner of the UK.If im honest this season may well be a transitional period at RFC with the old guard moving on, but it wont be down to whether we kept Coppell or not.Granted failure to gain promotion may well cut short Coppells time at Reading but is it really the be all and end all that we dont go up this particular season-id really love to see it happen though unless we fare badly in the championship then alarm bells should hardly start clanging if it doesnt .As difficult as it may seem right now i just find it amazing how people have forgotten monumental events in our recent history, seemingly almost dismissing the events they were part of and just appear to revel in not enjoying anything connected with RFC.For those of that disposition and that hold a season ticket or go to games, you pay that money and its your free time so enjoy going to watch your team!! I admit to letting Premiership frustrations get to me, so i am looking forward to actually enjoying games again and the match day itself and leave behind some of the pointless over analysis that i have been part of.
