Favourite Premiership moment (humour wise)

by rhroyal » 19 May 2008 15:02

I know there are quite a few of these but I can't find one right now and no doubt this will be merged later, so anyhow, just put up some favourite Premiership moments, with a difference. Reminisce of things that made you laugh from the media or on the pitch or any funny classic moment from the last 2 years. My vote goes to Leroy Lita for having the balls to do this playground prank on Jens Lehmann:

Or the goal scoring announcement: "Goal scorer for Reading: WEST HAM UNITED!!!!!" although we've been doing that with OGs for ages.

My favourite moment was when Federici caught a half-hearted cross from Spurs and stepped back over the goal line whilst holding the ball outside the net. The Spurs fans all clammered for a goal because we'd been given a dubious one under similar circumstances against them. It made me laugh anyway.

...although that was an FA cup moment and probably doesn't count.

Definitely the Man Yoo fan who decided to jump over the barrier when Rooney scored and was immediately chucked out of the ground by about half a dozen stewards. The surprised look on his face was priceless.

Spurs's kit, Spurs' pre/post match comments, Spurs fans leaving after 70 minutes were all fairly amusing.

Bikey laughing when he was asked to be the 'one' in our 8-1-0 formation at OT in the first game of this season.

The Bolton fans giving us grief for booing Diouf when he was being stretchered off - it's Diouf FFS, and then coming back to win.

Chanting 'we are top of the league' for two minutes away at villa - RFC will never again be in that position.

Oh, and Jimmy Kebe.

Most of Kingsley's antics and joke handshakes to the last opposition player in the enforced handshake before each game.

James Harper warming up and wriggling his bottom in the air.
Wit in the crowd singing "I see you James Harper shaking that arse"
Collapse of said James Harper into giggles then turning round and applauding.

Keith Gillespie getting sent off about 5 seconds after coming on. Della scoring in that game was pretty funny too.

Seeing Colin get relegated.......also Sheff Utd away, Man Utd away this season as all the angry "Mancs" left for Cornwall, Sweden, Norway and Korea moaning about how we shouldn't be allowed to park a bus in front of the goal....we should have murdered Reading etc.
