Plastic scousers in the home ends

by Jerry St Clair » 07 Dec 2007 13:38

Seeing as this thread is inevitable after the game, i thought I'd get in early. I predict:

- there will be people in Liverpool shirts sat in the North Stand
- the stewards will do their best to ignore them
- until they score, when they'll reluctantly throw them out (but only after much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the incumbents around them)
- HNA will be full of angst about "loyal" Reading fans having been denied tickets and how could this possibly happen with a member card scheme.

I also predict that the woman that sat in front on RZR last year and who he made cry will not be there this year.

I'm going to do a pre-match check and blood-pressure test.

I remember Sharpy's interrogation of the woman who sat next to us for the Newcastle game...

Who are you?
Are you from Reading?
Which school did you go to?
Why haven't we seen you before?
Who do you support? (Nobody)
What are you doing here then?
When did you last come?

Bit personal. What has that got to do with football?

I know a couple of Irish Liverpool supporters who have tickets for the North Stand.

Days like tomorrow are just confusing when the team you've supported for 30 years plays the team you've followed for 36 years.

Will be 100% cheering for a Reading win though....

I thought that with Arsenal last year, but much to my Arsenal-supporting granddad's disappointment, I had no doubts when the whistle went.

There was a guy next to me, not the usual STH, but he behaved and must of gone home thinking Liverpool were shit and we deserved to win.

One or two (dozen) in the N Stand were happy when Gerrard scored, and yet left before the fourth official had even raised the "4 minutes" ET board.

Shame on the Reading "fans" who sold their seat to the away fans (and perpetuilly do, each and every home game against THE BIG FOUR)

There weren't just plastic scousers in the home ends - the away end was full of them too!

A quick survey of the coaches outside the South Stand after the game showed some from:

Essex
Bristol
Weybridge
