The 17 Bus So whats the latest? Any truth that Liverpool sold out with almost 3 weeks to go?

No

Or, rather, yes. According to the official site yesterday, the Liverpool game is now sold out. It's easy to miss though, as it's just one line right at the end of the article on this page.

Tickets were still available on Tuesday, rather less than three weeks before the game.

Remarkably, tickets still seem to be available for the Middlesborough game despite the kids for a quid offer.

Unless you're accusing the ticket office of lieing, I'm guessing you would accept that tickets are sold out as of today, which is 17 days before the match concerned.

Do we need to put our whole league programme on sale the day that fixtures are announced in June and sell out by the following lunchtime before one infantile East stander and his school boy comprension of "demand" deems it's time to expand the stadium :?

Back in the real world (where people sometimes admit that they got it seriously wrong) we are losing many thousands of pounds on this fixture because...................wait for it.....................we have no more seats left to sell with more than 2 weeks to go

But hey, demand IS falling, folks.................apparantly

As George Michael once said, if you're going to do it, do it right.

He sang it, rather than said it.

Get it right ....

As previously demonstrated, you are not intelligent enough to understand the arguments regarding demand.

In the real world

"Sold out" means demand has outstripped supply.

And were sold out yesterday (Wednesday), which is 18 days prior to the game. 2-0 did say 'almost' three weeks, not 'over' three weeks.

according to thia post on HNA http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=68876 they were sold out by the Monday, I have no idea about Exiled in Leeds, despite some rumours, but it would appear that they basically sold out on Moday of this week, almost 3 weeks before the game. Hence what i posted, I would assume no one would now try to get tickets, hence no further demand, in all reality perhaps like last season they should have linked the tickets to a lesser game, sower sales but at least the demand was there.

At any point in recent history, the demand will be there for:

Chelsea
Arsenal
Man Utd
Liverpool
Tottenham

When I looked at the official site on Tuesday it said tickets were still available so, to my mind, the answer is no.

But i'm not really going to waste my time debating whether 18 days constitutes 'almost three weeks'.

Not like you to back out of an argument Schards. There's got to be at least four pages' worth in that.

I only argue about things that interest me, i'm not too interested in the definition of "almost three weeks". No doubt Skyline will be on with a spreadsheet about it soon though closely followed by Woodcote Royal with some abuse and some emoticons and Behindu with lots of exclamation marks and an open ending.....

You're interested in a surprising number of boring things then.

One can never cease to be amazed at Schard's determination against insurmountable odds. I would not only have this man in the trenches next to me but send him over the top first.
