Adam Federici

by royalroo » 06 Nov 2007 11:38

Adam Federici has been named in the Australian squad to play Nigeria at Craven Cottage on November 17th.
Whilst Mark Schwarzer is the first choice keeper the experience should benefit Adam greatly.
Well done Adam!

Not true.

Following his bout of amnesia in the early nineties and subsequent name change he has had too many problems with his FIFA registration and has been forced to withdraw :(

Enough of the Neighbour's puns. Like someone else has said before me, Feds deserves the experience at least and it may make SC realise that he's better than MH. Tbh, MH has been below par recently and needs to be challenged for that No.1 jersey.

Have you ever seen him play apart from on the tv at Old Trafford? Yes Marcus is experiencing a dip in form but anyone who seriously believes Federici is a long or even medium term replacement is deluded.

Federici has succeeded in taking the back-up jersey from the brilliantly named Clint Bolton of Sydney FC.

With Jamie Ashdown warming the bench at Pompey, not likely to get past James unless he's injured how about an offer for Ashdown in January? He should never have left Royals. he had deputised for around 10 games at the end of the 2003-2004 season was it? Or 2004-2005? USA was injured, Ashdown did a good job and thought he should have started as an equal the next season

I also thought he looked the part. Your suggestion makes sense to me.
