weybridgewanderer It really depends how you class "winner".

In previous years there were 3 winners of the intertoto cup

this year its 11

http://www.uefa.com/competitions/intert ... index.html

The format of the UEFA Intertoto Cup changed for the 2006/07 season with three rounds now played instead of the previous five. The eleven victorious sides from the UEFA Intertoto Cup third round advance to the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup, which replaces the old system where the winners of three finals all progressed into the UEFA Cup first round.

That doesn't class them as winners of the trophy. They are no more winners than those clubs that won the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup.

They changed the system to try and give the competition extra meaning, to do that you can only have one winner.

But can he push Matty Robinson out of the starting line up?

Bright prospect. Future medicals at a big club like West Ham expected!

Signing players from Orient is a sign of a total lack of Madejski's ambition.

FFS next we will be taking on losers fron the likes of Cambridge Utd, Cork or Brentford.

Still as long as Pards stays we will be OK and he bleeds blue and white so will never quit.....

Still,at least we now sign foreign International players from all over the globe as well as bargain basement buys.
It's called good mangement and our Steve has shown that he is quite good at it.

If only he could find 'the next Mass Sarr' we would know we were in safe hands.
