My daughter (then 4) slept on my lap all the way through that dreadful Sunday morning 0-0 draw at home to Poxford in the late 90s.

Several around us commented on what a good judge of football she was.

You've just described much of the West Stand.

I'm sorry as this is probably responding to a fishing post but what is it with the mickey taking of the weststand, the supporters there are just as passionate, rarely see anyone around me leaving before final whistle yet looking at the north stand there are loads leaving and rarely stand up, give us west stand guys some credit, not our fault this was only place we could get

People are perfectly entitled to support the team in which ever way they see fit without fear of reprisal or insult. It really isn't your fault you can't stand up without tripping over a hamper.

I sit in the West Lower and I like it. We may not sing as much as the East but we have good banter and chats about football and Reading through the ages.

Ditto.

I can see what's happening on the benches, I can abuse the opposing bench and their subs and have them hear me, and I can stay to the end of the match and still be in my car and in the queue outside the car park whilst most people in the East stand are still swearing about the safety gate.
