Run in the side for Oster then if true and may also explain his poor form over the last couple of games.

Stranded Run in the side for Oster.

Who just has put himself in the shop window, so perhaps he'll be playing out of his skin to get noticed.

Not neccessarily:

[i] With Little unable to play either John Oster or Seol Ki-Hyeon would fill the void.

Seol has not even made the bench in the Premiership since Royals’ 3-1 win over Sheffield United on January 20.

But Royals manager Steve Coppell said: “I have had John on the bench as he can also play in a central role, but that doesn’t mean he’d necessarily start.â€

Glen Little has a damaged Achilles and faces a few weeks out of action.

The winger has been carrying the injury for some time, and after a scan on Tuesday he is set for a period on the sidelines.
Thankfully though there is better news on Marcus Hahnemann and Graeme Murty, who are making good progress ahead of the upcoming Easter fixtures.
Glen said, "I've been carrying it for a couple of months and getting through it, but it's gone past that stage now
"Early on I was thinking I might be alright, but now it's dragging me down, getting on my nerves and making it uncomfortable even to get into training in the morning. Before games I've been trying to get it going and work it, but it's really grinding me down.
"I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses but it's not been helping me. I've been fighting a battle to get out there. I've not enjoyed training because it's been on my mind.
"John Halls has had something similar and he's been out for a couple of months, so I don't want to be in his position.
"Jon Fearn has been keeping an eye on it but we're looking to see if it's longer term now."

Alternatively, Halford could be given a chance in right midfield, playing in front of Murty? Might be a more defensively sound option for the visit of Liverpool.

Doyle and Long can both play down the right as can Gunnarson.

If Oster doesn't get the first crack at it, it will only make his mind up to leave in the summer.

Interesting options we have available, and with the reference to Oster not necessairily playing on the wing, I'm convinced he'll move Halford to the role which is familiar to him and argubley unlike Glen has a consistent goal return from that position.

I agree Halford might get a chance at right midfield if Little is out for a while but Oster and Soel will probably be ahead of him in the queue. Don't forgert that Halford has played most of his games at right back and has even said himself that this is the position he is most comfortable with (although that may change and certainly might not be Coppells view). Although he has scored a few goals in his career don't forget that a lot of those came when he was played upfront, so his "consistent goal return from that positition" isn't exactly true either.

I'm gutted that Little is now out. He's without doubt our most creative player and lights up many a game for me. I know all players play with little knocks here and there throughout the season, but I hope this isn't another case of the club making an injury worse because of playing through the injury.

I wonder if Henry might force his way into the match day squad if he returns from Forest in one piece and Little is still injured.

I would prefer Seol to Oster. He is a class act and just needs a kick up the backside to prove it.

there is an arguement for playing seol, oster or halford. personally, i think oster deserves first shot at it, because hes the one whos been performing when hes come on recently. however at the end of the day, im not gonna question SSC whoever he plays there. they are all decent replacements on their day
