NTRoyal wouldn't surprise me if they were mad stad regulars that actually support arsenal and watch reading as a way to see their team.

like most people living in the thames valley area.

Hmmm... let's think about this for half a second. These people have owned season tickets for atleast the last three seasons and gone to a considerable number of away games in the hope that Reading would be promoted to the Premiership so they could see their team play twice.

Is your statement sounding daft enough yet?

I met a guy who has a ST and got it a couple of years ago as he thought it was the best way of making sure he'd get to see Liverpool at least once a season. We're his second team. It does happen

Why do you think the top band of Arsenal tickets sold out so quickly?

Just about everyone in that band bought a ticket - even if they couldn't go themselves, you could be sure that they knew someone else who wanted to go because they wanted to go to the Emirates for the ground or because they support Arsenal.

Any Reading fans who gave their tickets to Arsenal supporters need to take a long hard look at themselves.

A season ticket holder for the last 3 years who didn't go to any other matches would have 485 points.

Including all home friendly, home cup matches and STAR membership for 2 seasons it would be 635 points.

601 points were needed to buy an Arsenal Away ticket so you needed to be a bigger fan than just a season ticket holder.

2 world wars, 1 world cup I think the point is these weren't reading fans but were in the reading end.

Not only that but they seemed to have had the audacity to wear Arsenal colours and applaud Arsenal.

And not only that but they dared to tell Reading fans to sit down in the Reading end.

Plastics who suddenly have found it in themselves to support their local club are forgivable. But people who come into the reading end (home or away) to support the other team are, as far as I'm concerned absolute scum of the earth.

They can consider themselves lucky it wasn't me sitting in front of them - I'd deliberately piss them right off all game.

I've a zero tolerance for those sorts of people.

I too am scum of the earth then as I was one of at least 15-20 wearing Reading shirts in the Arsenal end in the Cup last season!
As for the Arsenal fans in the Reading end today, I blame Nicky Shorey. On Sky Sports this morning he said he'd taken about 20 tickets, most of which were for his family and friends who were Arsenal fans!!!

Do you not see a difference between a Reading fan taking one of the 40,000 odd tickets available to Arsenal fans and an Arsenal fan taking one of the 3,000 tickets available to Reading fans?

Speaking as someone was was in the home end watching yesterday (didn't enjoy the experience)......can i ask why the hell there wereso many empty seats in the away end????

Not that I had enough points to get an away ticket, but it still rankled that people like Maguire were upset at not getting tickets yet there were clearly loads of empty seats. How does that happen??

If home fans are going to sit in away end then just do it, don't wear colours and don't cheer like a mong when your team scores.

Yet at Liverpool (twice), Man Utd (twice) and now Arsenal there are people doing the above then they deserve to be kicked out and the ST holder who has sold them the ticket should be banned from purchasing all away game tickets for a lengthy time.

I'd say I was disappointed rather than anything else, although I did manage to get a ticket in the end.

Can't say I noticed any empty seats round me - probably needed to see the end from elsewhere in the ground to spot it.

I was high-up behind the goal so could only see the away fans in the corner, but from my seat there were loads of empty seats scattered around in 1s and 2s. Just from the few fans I could see it was obviously how many empty seats there were

Without a shadow of a doubt a company or person has purchased an Away or Home Season ticket and is selling the tickets on.
