Are you saying they only allow 30 seconds for ALL substitutions in total? I thought it was 30 secs per substitution, seeing as half the time the oppo stroll off the pitch like they were out walking the dog.

No his job is just to tell all the rest of us. I sit near the dug-outs and it is fun to read the hand signals from the ref to the 4th official which, if you do, means that you know before evertone else

Most just hold the relevant number of fingers out down the side of their shorts whilst running past the 4th official - I am sure there will be a few rude comments about that but not sure how else to describe it. It may account for the fact that it is seldom more than 4

Matchday bookies odds are notoriously tight, convienient though.
