Suit edges it for me - good, professional authoratative image.
Only downside is looking slightly daft when jumping around celebrating.

Got to be a suit for two reasons:

1. They're supposed to be the ultimate ambassador for their club.

2. Most of the managers that were tracksuits have oversized waistlines

Suit, so they can't up turn the collars of their replica club rugby training top aside of their crinkled greying cockney head...

A suit? Why? This is sport, not a conference.
Tracky bottoms and a club polo shirt is more than suitable IMO.

Reading Abbey A suit? Why?

As I stated earlier:

1. They're supposed to be the ultimate ambassador for their club.

Otherwise we'll end up with managers wearing shell suits

If you watch the Premiership players arrive at the ground before their match, the majority (if not all) are wearing suits / club jackets. It looks far more professional.

Ok. So I would then slip into my tracky bottoms and polo shirt for the game, just as the team put their kit on. Everyone's a winner.

And thus exhibiting the difference in class between the South and our suits and the North and your shell suits

Suit and club tie/blazer. Also a poppy at this time of year.

Managers who wear tracksuits and football boots (Pardew/Pearce) still think they're players.
