An Evening with Ray Wilkins 1st Nov

by ayjaydee » 21 Oct 2013 22:40

Posting for a mate at work who is helping with a charity evening for Barton Rovers FC. They have about 10 tickets remaining to get rid of.

It's at the Kennet Valley Club, Fords Farm, Friday 1st November 8.00pm Tickets are £12. 50.

THe evening may have a bit of a Chelsea bias as Ron "Chopper" Harris will also be there but should still be fun. There is also a London comedian, Micky Pugh.

If anyone is interested PM me and I'll reply with the contact number for my mate.

Surprisingly good actually.

Ray Wilkins came across as a very honest and likeable chap with some good tales both Chelsea and England related. Still has the love for Chelsea despite the parting of the ways.
"Chopper Harris" was a bit more guarded in his Chelsea related responses - he is still employed by the club and even he is worried the Roman's henchmen. They have more big fecking Russians than we do!
The comedian/compere played very well to the audience of mainly working class Friday night beer drinking crowd.
Some decent memorabilia raffled and auctioned off.
For £12.50 it was certainly good value for money.
