None other than Steve Cotterill.

I didn't put this in unfounded rumours or gossip because it isn't. it's fact.

Cotterill recently turned down a return to Cheltenham where he did a great job..........but then moved on and left behind a very ageing squad.
Not the right man for this club.......it will be long ball stuff.

Who cares? I'm OK with long ball stuff as long as we don't go down - it worked for Plymouth on Saturday.

May I take my learned friends back to my recent posting.

I said that Steve Cottrill walked into the Madstat at the Blackpool match, the general view was he was working for radio 5, but he certainly was not.

PNE have sacked Alan Irvine today , now he IS a good gaffer and can do a job here. Cotterill, no thanks . Dive in quick for Irvine.

This should appeal to Big John.......

Preston lie 16th in the Championship and operate with one of the smallest budgets in the division.

I would be very happy to get Irvine - Cotterill would be a complete joke of an appointment and would destroy any chance of building for the future.
