I'm with this bloke...

by percy_freeman » 30 Aug 2014 11:50

I found this post on readingrumours.co.uk and I totally agree with it.

Is the awaited confirmation football league a smokescreen put out by RFC?

The club, Charles Watts, SJM have all gone on record saying the ownership approval is a simple tick box exercise, but now weeks later and still no approval, fans are being told these things take time as it's a complicated consortium. Personally I think the takeover has already been approved with the club delaying announcement until the transfer window is shut, although not before banking the money from the sale of Morrison, Alfie and the pending (all but agreed) sale of Alex McCarthy.

Some RFC fans are happy with the following so called progression and playing staff additions. The introduction of Ferdinand who was a free signing and was signed as a result of our Police United/consortium and clearly not an Adkins signing. Then the signing of Cox who came as part of the sell on fee pay-off when Forest signed Michail Antonio from Wednesday so no fee involved with this signing just a convenient deal for both clubs then James Mackie came in on a season long loan which was also part of the Antonio/Forest sell-on-fee deal and was used just to sweeten things up. Then there's Norwood a 750k purchase. 750k from the millions raised in the sale of 3 decent players

We have mr Mad answering questions on behalf of Khunying Sasima Srivikorn as if he knows exactly what she is thinking as he is petrified that she might blow the clubs cover. And the we have our manager, mr positive who must be the unluckiest manager in the history of Reading football club with an ever growing horrendous injury list that gets longer by the hour and we're told we have a bright future!

As yet we still have no official confirmation of ownership yet we sell players without a second thought but yet can't seem to buy or sign or compete for decent new players. Reading fans will need to expect no singing of any worth within the next 12 months, expect to play the kids (which is a positive) BUT ALL OF THEM, AT ONCE! and expect the new unconfirmed owners of our club to raise and bank the reported 25million they paid for the club before anything of value happens on the pitch. 25 years as a supporter and never more unhappy than I am now. Wake up other Reading fans and voice your concerns before it's too late.

Delaying the announcement until 1st Sep once the window SLAMS shut would be perfect for the bean counters at the club no doubt about that.

However you would hope that JM is not completely blind & can see the injury crisis we have at the club. He surely must realise that if no players are brought in then we could be headed for a relegation battle..

Pretty much been my thoughts for sometime now although I'll remain positive until Tuesday morning and if the board have not fully backed NA in this window then this blokes post has the situation nailed. Also it's good to hear that Nigel has finally identified the need to look at training methods, maybe too late and long overdue but it's a start.

If I had just spent millions buying the
Club and NA was showing no progression
Would I trust him with millions more
To buy players on what I have seen, no way

I want proof that NA knows what he's doing

You are speculating that NA never had
Funds, I not to sure about that.

I think they are scared to give NA the funds because
They are not confident he will deliver.

Reading will survive NA and us so let the owners
Do what they think is right. They have much more
To lose financially then us.

I don't think there is any need to doubt Nigel Adkins ability, he has a proven track record. I just hope to hell that, if we do not get any significant transfer action, Hammond doesn't come out with the "we tried to do some business, but it wasn't possible in the time" if nothing happens I am not sure how long Adkins will hang around for, god forbid if he did go that McDermott would come back.

Yes yes yes! And SJM helped Prince Phillip assassinate Diana as she was about to reveal the secret of the Illuminati to the Al Fayeeds.

It's possible that AZ is actually still in charge, but that he's paying these people to pretend that they're buying the club so he doesn't need to spend any more money, and that NA actually is no longer in charge, but is just pretending that he is and that actually ....

Totally agree with bit about SJM speaking for the owner, quite evident in the interviews they did, not as if she can't speak english

You have far too much time on your hands. Even if that were true, do you really think they could keep it under wraps? No chance.

If you are that unhappy, go find a different hobby.

if the sale has gone through already then he is only Mr 10% and as such has no say in the matter..

Unfortunately, it's business before football now. The main contest is off the pitch and fought behind closed doors, undisclosed fees and in the 'Reading way'.
