SPECULATION - Chris Cohen

by Tommio » 05 Aug 2014 18:17

McCleary has posted a picture of himself and Chris Cohen together on twitter, it's most likely just a catchup but if anything it means Cohen could be coming to Reading because I'm pretty sure you can't buy and injured player so McCleary can't be moving to Forest.

Just like Adkins having a drink in Oxford last pre-season with Lambert. He was awesome for us last season.

No reason why you can't buy an injured player if you want, although it may not be sensible. Kitson was injured when we bought him for one and didn't make his debut for a while. Sometimes you have to gamble to make sure you getthe player.
Can't see McLeary going though, but having a picture taken with his mate doesn't mean there's a deal in the offing either.

IIRC Murty was injured for 3 years after we signed him before he made his debut.

I remember seeing the lesser spotted Murty playing at Elm Park in a pre season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday. ~Twas but a fleeting glimpse for the best part of 2 years.

From Despair To Where? I remember him playing at Elm Park though in a pre season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday.

My first impression was that he had no neck. Looked good going forward but shakey at the back. Shame we lost him to injury for so long at the beginning. Fantastic right back.

I remember that. The actual last ever game at Elm Park, perhaps? Primus scored twice.
