The players that were brought in previously were with the intention of succeeding at Championship level not premiership level. His Mission was accomplished. Job well done by McDermott. His objectives successfully met.

While you are a championship club, you cannot bring Premier league players in who are on premier league wages. So you cannot plan for a premier league season from the Championship. Unfortunately teams coming up don't know which of their players can make the step up in class. Until 6 or more premier league games have been played you just don't really know who can play at that level and who can't. But after 6 games the transfer window slams shut and you have to wait til Jan before you can change anything.

Everyone knows what's wrong with the team now after 13 games. But until Jan we are stuck. Have faith in McD. He is the best man for the job!

You lost me with the first line so didn't bother with the second.

He's built a team based on his long ball style. It's mostly Champ standard and we were lucky to go up in the first place. No new manager will find it easy with this lot and the heart of the team needs ripping out and starting again, but with a new manager who has new ideas and a more positive style of football. You wont get that with one idea Brian.

If the plan is to replace BM, then I would suggest we have someone with experience of the PL, or at very least the relationship with players he can bring in who have the ability to change our season.

The danger of getting loan players in, is they may not care too much if we stay up or not, they get paid, yes they may have a stay up bonus, but I am sure food will still be on their table with or without this bonus, but if you've got a man who can call on players he knows really well, you factor in a different agenda.

Poet for that reason isn't an option, as I doubt he has enough experience as a manager to cal in those type of players.

Who we'd get ?, god knows, because I don't, but the next few weeks will define our season I think.
