Ian Royal It's tiresome the way every rumour is treated as gospel and in the worst possible light by the usual suspects on here.

I'd have thought you would be very used to that by now, Ian

Nice to see Hammond get his claws out a bit and refreshing that the club have put it on the OS.

According to this it will only take £400,000. Not a lot in relative terms

He hasn't really though has he? He's only come out and basically told them to cough up. Contracts aren't worth the paper their written on, and Dolan wants to go according to local press in Leeds. This is all about money.

No, that's not what he said at all.

So what you are saying is that contracts are worth the paper they are written on, Dolan doesn't want to go and this has nothing to do with money.

BBCRB reported this morning that he was the favourite to go to Leeds- but nothing about Hammond's statement and the club not wanting him to leave, which I thought was a bit odd.

He's drifted to 2/5 in the betting. Probably on the back of EP laying his house on him.

I also backed him getting the sack less times than McDermott to cover myself.

Think Hammond is paving the way for Dolan to replace Adkins as he will be off this close season to another club - if he gets an offer - and who could blame him?

Replace McDermott. It's McDermott.

In a round about wait, yes it is. It's all about getting the best price for him.

Would be the ideal replacement. But Adkins will have to walk, as we wont want to pay off his contract.

Who would want him?

He was the appointment of a boy trying to playing with his daddies credit card and chasing the stupid ideal of a supposedly 'better style of play'.

Well, he failed with that and has made us worse even with a squad that previous managers could only dream of. Must be pretty embarrassing for him to see the academy manager is more in demand for a job than he is.

Unfortunately we're stuck with him and his wages now.

No. You've chosen to interpret it as that, because that's what you want to believe. It's absolutely nothing like what was actually said.

Anyone who has a look at his superb managerial record would want him, you plum. This is as close to failure as he's come, and last season really wasn't even close to a major failure for him.

"He has a fantastic relationship with our manager Nigel Adkins and we do not welcome any approaches from any club for our key staff.

We hope this is the end of the matter."

You can see how someone might read that as 'give us £400k and he's yours'.

We're practically pimping him out.
