Unfortunately, I also was called a liar, and thus reacted. Maybe at our ages, Snowball and I should have learned not to react to such small minded persons,......but somehow we took the bait. Surffice it to say that we know better re the whole 'Mensa' situation, because we lived it. Anything else said by some plebs on this forum. is truly a non-issue.

To answer more seriously. No.

Whether a poster is highly intelligent, or intelligent, or academically gifted, or ITK*,
or just a plain Joe, or a particularly good judge of the game we love, or particularly
good at match reports or whatever, isn't the point.

What IS the point is that far too many here think it's great to be constantly
destructive, "cute", cliquey, "clever", to personalise things, to make ad hominem
attacks, attack players, to lie and cheat and misquote and invent what people actually say
(so they can attack the never-said) and to listen to the empty-vessel sound of their own voices
snigger-fucking-snigger-look-at-me lads rather than talk about the club rationally.

to make up stories about transfers for FUN?

For example, I don't think membership of Mensa means anything.
I mentioned it only to raise an issue about so-called maximum
intelligence. But the thread rapidly turned into an attack on me
