According to the Sun :shock: Sir Steve nust take a paycut to come back here.If true this club should be ashamed of itself to treat him like this.Mad should go down on his knees and beg him to come back to sort this bloody mess out.

He isn't earning a wage... how can he take a pay cut to come here?

He isn't earning a wage... how can he take a pay cut to come here?

OR are we still paying compo or a retainer of some hushed-up description :arrow:

SC £1m+ per annum, Brendan £400k per annum, MaccyD less than Brendan obviously

Of course we aren't paying a retainer, his contract ran out. He wasn't sacked and he didn't resign mid-contract. He just didn't renew and left.

Pay cut as in less money than when he was employed by RFC before, i guess.

Interesting comment after the game when asked if he had a role to play here, said no but was more a respectful towards McDermot comment than an outright flat no i have had my time here. Could mean nothing could mean everything.

Personally, now the dirty works been done, I'd bring him back to the club and let him get on with rebuilding the squad completely and promote BM to assistant manager...
