I think we'll be playing him as a winger instead of a striker should we sign him.

Why are we going to have a squad made up of entirely wingers? We definitely have Kebe, McAnuff and HRK and so need one more winger and McCleary sounds a far better option and is proven at a far higher level than Sigurdason (Championship better standard>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Norweigan league).

So has Hunt. But is this guy good enough - surely a huge risk? You seem more ITK than most. What do you think.

I can't say if he's a risk or not, only that if Brian thinks he will strengthen the squad then we have to trust that. From what I can gather this young lad has a lot of pace, and has also been likened to Zlatan Ibramhimovic (doesn't mean he'll be half as good but they clearly rate him).

We could argue Butterfield and the Forest lad are risks as well, but we're interested. All new signings are to a certain extent.

It's only a big at this stage, so let's just wait and see.

Andrew, do you honestly think HRK is good enough for prem peage level? If you do, you're deluded.

We need two new wingers to compete with the two established wingers we already have. Nobody knows how both Jobe and Kebe are going to settle at that level.

I like HRK and think he is far better than some of you do. I think he will do well at PL level and will be very surprised if he is not in our 25.

Also we really don't want to do a QPR and make too many changes. Norwich and Swansea made relatively few and have done far better.

I think we will keep our core 16-17 players (the first 11 plus HRK, Tabb, McCarthy, Andersen, ALF and with question marks over Mills and Church) and add to that - which only gives room for 2 full backs, 2 centre backs, a winger, a striker, a centre mid and a Siggy like attacking central player.

andrew1957 I really can’t see us being interested in this guy. Hew would be a great risk as he has only played in a low level league and might not be anywhere good enough for the PL. His scoring rate is relatively poor (about the same as Church) and he is also over 21 - so would take a squad place.

I think we are far more likely to go for an experienced striker to add to Roberts, Hunt and ALF.

So what you're saying is that we need a proven striker at Premier League level who has a good scoring rate?

Well fcuk me, thanks for that, any ideas? Remember we also have other areas in the squad that we need to improve, and a limited budget, so probably can't cost >4m.

Also, he can't be over 28 because we either need him to have a resale value, or be someone that we can build a side around. We can't afford to have two 33 year old strikers out of 4.

Plus, his wage demands need to within our budget too.

Any ideas :?:

Church has scored more goals than Sigurdarson and at a higher level so I think the choice is Church or a more experienced striker. If we got Siggy back then I will be happy with Church and no need for another striker. That will save money.

About 7 or 8 I think - which is the same as we need.

QPR got rid of several of the core players who got then promoted like Gorkss and Connolly.

Ideal You may not know this, but Zlatan wasn't exactly prolific early on in his career, yet the goals have certainly come later.
Denis Bergkamp wasn't prolific early on for Arsenal, but that worked itself out

They both started to be so from 19/20 onwards

Wow - that's a very Snowballesque statment.

It's complete bollocks of course.

We're not talking about FM2012 here, this is real life. Anyone thinking Church is better than Sig clearly needs to go cold turkey.
