So what would Fryatt exactly add to our squad that we don't already have with Long, Church, Hunt. Surely Bednar would be a far more intelligent move.

Do you want me to invite Snowball over to this topic to give us some stats? It will obviously show us that Shane Long is better than all the possibilities, but it will be fun, won't it?

TBM I really thought Cisse could have done that role for us.

Except that he wasn't consistently good enough and the transfer fee from Agent Coppell was too good to turn down.

Oh i totally agree but it should have meant we replaced him with someone who can play that role. Tabb is probably the closest we have to doing it but i reckon he's more like Karacan

Perhaps we are going to sell Shane in January and Fryatt IS his replacement. Imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth in the Snowball household if that were to happen.

Don't worry though because we will get a fee similar to that which we got for Doyle because he is doing as well, if not better than Doyle was at this stage of his career.......

Ian Royal Hasn't Karacan been playing the more defensive role fairly well for us all season?

:| errrr not really, no.

Karacan is not a holding midfielder - he is far more effective playing that middle role.....someone to win the ball, give it to Jem, he then gives to the man next up (the old Sig role).

Well if he doesn't play it, then we don't use that role, because no one else has played it all season, certainly regularly.

If we don't use that role, then there's no point in buying a player for it.

It is Gudjohnsen. Stoke are looking to get him fit at a side in the top end of the Champ with an Icelandic influence is a great place

We have a good relationship with Stoke? Apparently they think the Sonko/KItson deals are an indication of this

Will be announced next week

On the basis of the Sonko and Kitson deals I would have thought Stoke would be furious with us.

I got the impression TWYI's comment was very much tongue in cheek..

i would be happy with any signing just as long as it is a striker who has proven he can score GOALS REGULARLY!!

We have a good relationship with Stoke, which has been somewhat challenged by the Sonko and Kitson deals. Sonko in particular....

Bednar going to Leicester in the next couple of days.

We really are the most uninspiring team to support.

Just think we could be supporting a team like Preston or someone from lower down the football spectrum. So uninspiring......

Just to make me feel worse not only are Swansea in the race for Fryatt but Rodgers is also after Sturridge or Vela on loan although if Rodgers is perpetuating these rumours then this does fall into the believe it when I see it catagory. Plus of course it is absolutely insane to try to sign top class strikers who wouldn't be prepared to move to your Club permanently. All it could possibly do would be to improve a Club's chances of promotion so what would be the point of that.
