melonhead agreed-should be keeping him. he gets a few goals, sets a few up, works hard, is willing to do jobs for the team, and wont mind not being 1st choice.
imo hes perfect for our championship push

Don't care how hard this guy works, the fact is he's shite. No doubt a lot of the workers union supporters will be out in force berating this post.

He was good for us in our second half of the Championship last year. Who do you suggest, Blackman who's proved to be ineffective so far.

You're talking past tense. If Adkins has this rumoured £30millin to spend and we play 1 striker we wont need a lot of strikers in the summer. If hunt, roberts, pog, church and le fondre go I can see adkins looking at 2 quality strikers with blackman and samuel as back ups. We would still have a loan option as well should we need it.

What Brendy said.

Hunt has proven to be a great foil for strikers at Premier League level. Look at how he got the best out of Doyle, Long and Roberts. He's an honest, hard working pro, great ambassador for the club and can play anywhere across the front line. Madness to ditch his experience unless he's after a ridiculous contract.

Wow, another fantastically constructed argument. I would love to discuss how you came to this conclusion but I fear I may not be able to grasp your logic or intelligence.

Whatever it is, I doubt it is as strong as what you're on.

Don't know how much truth there is in this one but lets face it... we will hardly miss er, wots he called, Noel Hunter is it? will we? Let him go.

We have had the best of him. Cheers Nige, sorry, Noel and good luck. Just don't score against us. If you do stay, step up a few gears - regardless or not is you actually play more than 91 minutes in a row [which is not all your fault, but must say something about your lack of goal scoring prowess].

You might "hardly miss" him but the other strikers certainly will. Keep saying it but the Likes of Doyle, Long and Roberts will all tell you how much they enjoyed playing with Noel Hunt.

He's a second striker there to help the main striker and it's a job he does very well.

Players who are good enough for the PL, at Championship level though. But otherwise agree.

Sky Sports (usual LOL at their reliability) are claiming West Ham (lolz) and Cardiff City want Noel Hunt...

What happens if Hunt does go and next season we find ourselves 1-0 up, hanging on to a lead and we need someone to bring on to add some energy up front and chase down the channels?

Granted, Noel Hunt isn't likely to be the standout performer in our team next season, but there's a place in our squad for a player of his type. Why spend money on a new player, when we've got one sat here that we know all about?

peeping bernal Nigel seems to like him, a few more performances like of late and he may get his wish to stay.

He hasn't played the last two games has he?

No subs the game before last, then on Saturday Alf, HRK and Harte came on. Blackman favoured in both games over Hunt.
