Lacoste
Snowball Sell him for 12M with an immediate loan-back

Assuming thats a joke.

Which bit?

To sell him in January would be crazy, would almost guarantee we'd go down.

If he WAS bought by Arsenal it would almost certainly be a couple of years before he could break into the team

Vermalen, Mertesaker, Koscielny, Dojorou (none of them I can spell) in front of him

But I said a few games ago I thought he'd end up at a top six club. Sale and loan-straight back until summer would be perfect.

But I agree 12M might be on the low side :-)

Just thought, if Wenger saw his talent while Arsenal were scoring SEVEN
against us, he's a sharp judge.

Surely there must be some misunderstanding here.... Arsenal don't usually buy young Englishmen in their 20s, usually they sell them, right?

Mike Hunt I was saying to my friend that he seems the kind of guy that will let the paper talk get to his head and he think he is better than the team.

I didn't think it would happen this quick though...

In contrast, he actually strikes me as quite mature for his age and with a good head (other than when he is pissed and pissing!). It sounds like McDermott thinks the same.

I certainly hope that this is the case. Just have a bad feeling is all.

Had the same feeling about Guthrie. Look how that turned out.

Arsenal are being linked with a move for Reading defender Sean Morrison, who has only just forced his way into the Royals side.
The 21-year-old has impressed for the Royals in central defence after breaking into the side this season and is thought to have caught the eye of Arsene Wenger during the recent Carling Cup tie.

Gunners scouts have been keeping an eye on him ever since and reports have claimed that a bid could be in the pipeline ahead of the January window opening.

Reading are in a strong position though as boss Brian McDermott has just secured the player to a new four-year deal so the Gunners would have to pay big bucks to have any chance of striking a deal.

Also being linked all over twitter. Obviously don't want him to go but if he did go I would assume he would go for quite a hefty price due to his young age.
Caught the eye at the game we shipped out 7 goals...

One of my main reasons to be cheerful about relegation was seeing Morrison tear up the Championship, forming a rock solid partnership with Pearce / Mariappa.

If they did want him, I seriously think that we could probably get Arshavin plus a few million for him which tbh would be quite a good deal from our perspective IMO.

Absolutely correct.

I mean, look at Wilshere, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jenkinson......

Not many of those were bought in their 20s in fairness.

i would hate to see morrison go. especially since our two young cb's are both being linked with moves. if we lose them our defense isnt worth anything!

Massive +1 and I would include Mariappa in that as well. I personally can't see him leaving and we don't have to sell to survive any more so it would take silly money for us to let him leave if Arsenal were really serious.

+ Gorkss is brilliant at that level.

TBH we could afford to lose any two of the four if we go down and we'd still have one of the best CB partnerships in the Championship.
