M-U-R-T-Y Kebe + Kightly =

Not sure that Brian wants another winger though, seems odd.

I'm sure we had Kightly on trial a few years ago and he wasn't deemed good enough. So why is he good enough now?

Obviously he's had more experience since then but he's also had a long term injury.

I don't remember that at all, but for what it's worth, in this division he is a superb player!

Seems like this guys career is really in doubt now. Very sad really.

Kightly used to play for Grays Athletic but as far as I know he never had a trial with Reading. We did have a player from Grays on trial but his name was Gary Hooper - wonder what happened to him. In fact I am certain Hooper made an appearance in one of our many pre season matches at Didcot. To be fair I think Hooper was very young at the time.

Can't recall what year it was but I think gazzer is right that it was four or five years ago and that Hooper would have been very young. All I can remember is that he didn't really look anything special and that I don't think it was one of the games in which we scored a hatful of goals.
