Just been on there. Not really awash with rumours are they? Few people wondering if Reading might come back in for him, discussion begins, people rate him and some don't. No one suggesting we've even approached WBA

I think any possible talks with WBA will now be delayed until they have appointed their new manager so he can decide how important he considers Shane to be for them going forward.

Any possibility that we put some kind of buyback clause into the contract when we sold him? Perhaps conditional on our promotion?
It seems that he has retained stronger ties with Reading than most ex-players, watching games etc, just makes me wonder if we did something with the contract last Summer....

Extremely doubtful, everyone at the club from the top, management and right through to the fans thought we were fading as a club because we lacked money and we were selling our best players. Most people thought we may be around the play-offs but definitely not automatic or champions. Usually you'd only put something like this in a contract if you were pretty confident of your ability to be in a position to buy him back. No one in their right mind thought we'd be in a position to re-buy long last summer.

How can you have a wrong "opinion" you utter 'tard. It's an opinion. Definition: 1.A view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge

It could be someone's opinion that Intelligent Design is a legitimate scientific counter argument to evolution. Or it could be someone's opinion that I don't support Reading. Both of these are wrong. HTH.

This is exactly why you get stick, because of the ill-conceived nonsense you regularly come out with... like "an opinion can't be wrong".

You'd be correct if you'd said you are entitled to your opinion. That is of course correct. You are entitled to express your opinion. Just as others are entitled to tell you that your opinion is utter excrement and point out when you are just plane (*nods at Mags*) wrong.

Nice to see that you've accepted you were completely and utterly wrong, and are now shifting the goal posts in a not very subtle attempt to try and avoid actually admitting it and retain some sort of small victory.
