Out of contract at West Ham. Worth a punt?

I never thought that we gave him an adequate crack at it after we signed him from T&M
History has proven me correct…….more fool us I guess.

However, unless he wants to do an Andy Carroll, there is absolutely no chance of us re-signing him.

Would love it tho’

Can't imagine he has much love for Reading given he never really had a proper chance here (rightly or wrongly).

Already been said, but ‘love’ wouldn’t come into it (in regard to signing for a/our L1 club once again) anyway.

Sir SC plucked him from non-league invisibility and obscurity.

He thrived there-on in

Our loss…. as it happened

Unless Brogue waxes lyrical differently, it won't happen anyway

Signing him might not work out, it might be a write off

I'd be surprised if that's his attitude.

The club treated him very fairly and co-operatively - he was too yound and inexperienced to get into what was then a PL first-team, and the club sent him out on various loans. He liked it at Sheffield Wed and wanted to stay there, and the club agreed to release him at a small fee (with resale clauses), rather than making him stay around or trying to squeeze a premium out of Sheff Weds, because they recognised his development wouldn't progress much further here.

At the time Reading's actions were seen as very decent and something a lot of clubs wouldn't have done.

A one-year deal to get to and prove his fitness
might work

Truth is, at 75% OF HIS BEST HE WOULD RIP UP LEAGUE 1

No way Antonio goes below The Championship, car crash injuries or not.

It's a bit  isn't it.

The idea that Championship clubs wouldn’t be throwing themselves at him ahead of a cash strapped L1 outfit is bonkers.
