Charles Watts' Potential Signing

by Mr ReadingFC » 11 Jun 2014 14:47

This was mentioned in his weekly Wednesday chat a couple of minutes ago. Who do you guys think it is? I think Charles is feeding us BS to keep us sitting pretty.

"Any idea what so ever on signings"

CW: I have heard a whsiper today actually of a target that Reading could be in for. Unfortunately though, I just can't see how anything can be done until the ownership situation is resolved.

CW: I want to check it out first before running with it, I only found out about it about 15 minutes before this started.

Why would he? That would be very unlike him if so. In fact his recent articles on Samuelson upset the club, and they didn't invite/inform him about a couple of interviews after that as their way of punishment (all on his timeline last week). If anything, he's on the fans side, not the clubs - so I can't see why he's want to string anyone along to keep people happy.

Totally irrelevant. The new owner could want to rip everything up and start again. Any targets could be ditched for new ones, depending on budget and all sorts.

Is that a picture of SJM desperately clinging on to his remaining wealth?

Maybe they're targeting a Saudi Prince who will pay us £5m in return for playing him in 10 games of his choosing next season in a goal hanger role and putting him on penalties..... crazy, but it happens in Formula One.
