If the club sold him for that it would be incredibly short sighted as he looks to be one of (if not the best Academy product since Gylfi).

.

I agree that selling him would be a bad move for him! and possibly for us in the long term sometimes you have to take the hard cash on offer today rather than stick with the dream that may never come to pass.
It all depends on exactly what state we are in this summer, 2 million may pay the wages for a month.....

And what about the other months? Try and offload some of our big wage earners - to reduce the wage bill - keep people like Khul, Obita and Hector, Gozi and the rest of the U21s and develop them so they are our Sidwell's, Long's and Doyle's of the future.

The club have to operate in the real world, not the half baked world of us fans. You can't offload people who don't want to go and no one wants to buy. If th cash is there and we need to pay this weeks wages then we'll have to sell.
Having great young players in 3 or 4 years time is no good if you go bust in the mean time. Sad but true....

Do you seriously believe that Kuhl is worth 2 Million what is Tanner 4 Million, Obita 6 Mill.

The only measure of what a footballer is worth is what someone will pay for them. if City offered £2 million for Kuhl then that is the minimum he is worth.
It tells you nothing about what any other player is worth.

I'm fully aware of that thanks. I've said it myself time and again when people go on about getting rid of Pog, Drenthe, Bridge - if no-one wants them, they won't be going anywhere if they are still under contract. I missed a question mark off the end of my post you quoted btw.

It tells you the price. If his play and marketing don't return the investment and/or the price paid contributes to the failure of the club to balance the books, he isn't worth it. HTH.

None of them came through our youth system though.

glass half full Sadly, what kind of message would it send out to potential new owners/investors/sponsors/supporters if we opted for cashing in on our future great prospects?
